About Me

Hi!

I’m Anna. I work as a Content Developer at Amazon. I’m a German native (yes, born and raised!) and moved to Seattle a few years ago.

Writing has always been my number one passion. I recently found a little book of fairy tales that I wrote when I was 6. I spent my college years working at my university’s student run and student owned newspaper, ‘ruprecht’, where I started as a reporter, and later worked as an editor, section owner, and mentor to new reporters.

My titles at Amazon have changed a few times over the years, but I have always made sure that writing was at the core of my responsibilities. Currently, I am a product manager in the Employee Services Tech organization, where my team ensured employee safety during the COVID-19 pandemic by building a case management system for Covid cases. My main responsibilities here include regular reporting across all stakeholder groups as well as collaborating with several business as well as tech teams to determine the best release strategies. I also wrote a vision statement for a new HR support platform, which also included user journey mapping and visualization in order to provide strategic direction. Previously, I managed the help content for Career Choice, Amazon’s tuition assistance program, and worked as a content strategist / UX writer for the program’s website, including the team’s localization efforts, as the program is live in 13 countries with a total of 8 languages.
